Jump on a plane to one of the Med’s remotest islands and soak up the history of the capital city, Valletta, named after its founding knight, Jean Parisot de la Valette of the Order of St John, in the 16th century. Walk through the alleyways and streets, peek behind doorways and pause for seafront coffees in the evening sun. You may even spy from afar a yacht with your dream mate on board, and beseech one of the local fisherman to give chase. Fantasies do come true.
