Tampere in Winter

Tampere, Finland’s third biggest city, is situated 180 kilometres north of Helsinki and it is the hub of a very lively region. Tampere lies in the midst of the most beautiful Finnish Lakeland and even though it is a big city in Finnish terms, you’ll soon notice that everything here is within walking distance. Nature is close by even in the city centre. In winter you can enjoy cross-country skiing, ice-fishing and snowshoeing and the most courageous ones can even try sauna and winter swimming in a frozen lake.
