With its 7.6cm touchscreen and built-in wi-fi, Sony’s latest Walkman may look similar to the iPod Touch at first — but it’s got a nifty trick up its sleeve. Integrated noise-cancelling technology means you won’t need to invest in pricey headphones to block out those screams of jealousy its shiny good looks will provoke.
This games console will sneak information into kids’ brains by making them think they’re just messing about on a computer with characters like Dora the Explorer and Thomas & Friends. Yet with its motion-sensitive controller, they’ll be leaping around while learning maths, science and language skills – as well as suitably wearing themselves out before bed.
